As you must know by now, wool resists odor. We have found that is a good feature in a sock. They also wick and insulate better than cotton or all synthetic, so you can wear them comfortably in a pretty wide range of climates. Surly Socks are made by DeFeet using Merino wool and a small amount of synthetic material for increased durability. These ones here are 5" tall.

Midnight Special is a road plus bike designed to provide comfort and speed on those all-day rides that extend well beyond fresh pavement. Midnight Special shines on pot-holed, deteriorating pavement and the occasional long stretch of gravel. Its 650B road plus tires eat up road chatter and absorb all the bumps in the road like the champion it was designed to be. When it comes to road bikes, we just want to toss a few bananas into our pockets and see where the road takes us. We seek out varied surfaces on our rides and frequently go from pavement to gravel to worse pavement. This is Surly’s 29 x 3-inch Presta valve tube. It fits their Knard tires and is made of butyl rubber.

The Surly Jethro Tule rocks. It's made from tough, polished stainless steel and sports dual-purpose functionality. One end is the 15mm offset box end wrench you need to take your wheels off. Surly's Moonlander Fork has clearance for a 26 x 4.7-inch wide tire. It accepts specialty front hubs with a rear disc offset or 135mm rear hubs. It takes a front disc-brake adapter so you can run any brakes that come in a traditional front/rear set without having to break up a set. This fork features large-diameter, thin-wall chromoly blades that taper for a smooth and supple ride. And, it's got standard and low-rider rack mounts and comes in a tough powdercoat finish because it's awesome.

The Straggler fork is very much like the Cross-Check fork — it's a lugged and brazed CroMoly fork with room for 700c tires up to 50mm wide. When you’re out on a ride the last thing you want is to be limited by your tires in any way. Our ExtraTerrestrial Tires were designed to let you ride without limits by simply following the only tenets we have for tire design: they’re high volume and they kick ass. The ExtraTerrestrial tire was meant to serve as a heavy-duty off-road touring tire that shines on hardpack surfaces. It uses a nylon breaker in the sidewalls for cut protection, a molded pattern for anti-cut propagation, and a Kevlar cap under the tread to protect against flats. The ET Tire uses a distinctly directional tread pattern and its width yields more traction than you might expect from a tire with such little rolling resistance. The tread is low profile with a file tread in between tread blocks. Surly Trailer Parts

Some of you people just can't get enough hauling done with your Big Dummy or your Surly trailer. Well, nutball cargo haulers, here is your solution: The Big Dumb Trailer Hitch. This handy piece replaces the wheel yoke of your Surly Bill or Ted trailer and inserts into the horizontal tubes on the non-drive side of your Surly Big Dummy cargo bike, thereby making it possible to haul your trailer using your cargo bike. Like some of Surly's other chain tensioning devices, Snuggnut keeps your rear wheel from slipping forward in the dropout under the pedal load of your powerful gams. It's specifically designed for bikes that feature 12mm horizontal, vertical-slotted dropouts and is particularly suited for singlespeed application. The Loop Junk Strap is the same 120cm woven nylon strap with a stainless steel buckle that Surly's regular junk strap is. Whether for derailleur clamp clearance, tire clearance, or personal preference, sometimes it can be advantageous to run the wheel further back in the dropouts. Monkey Nuts install into Surly horizontal dropouts to make spacing the wheel back easy. There are 3 different sets depending on the type of dropout and axle configuration the dropout is intended for. Simply select the correct version of Monkey Nut, install it into the frame, and slam the wheel all the way forward. Bang, done.
