‘Community” is an interestimg word, huh?” Regardless of what the dictionary says (a book that people used to find out what words meant before Google) when we say “our community” we mean just that – the folks that make Velo City part of their cycling world. Our goal is that the shop functions as a doorway into the Great Big Wide World Of Bikes for you – c’mon in and look around. You might meet some new riding friends, hear about a cool new event, find out that they just chip-sealed the road you were gonna take on the ride home or end up going on a ride.

Sounds like “community” to us!

Also, we’re collecting articles and tall tales about this sport/passion/lifestyle that we love. Our shop’s Mayor has had a coupla pieces published over the years and there are other wordsmiths either workin’ at the shop or hanging around it. We’ll also use this space to re-print stuff we come across that we dig and can get permission to use. As we hope you know by now, we’d love to have you submit stuff as well, as long as you promise to be gracious if we end up not running it. (Can’t imagine what we wouldn’t, but it seems like something that ought’ve been said, y’know?)
