Kelly Slagh aka “KP” - Our newest Velo-Cit joined the squad in Jan ‘08. She’s a 1st grade teacher and claims to have been “swimming since before I could walk.” Regulars at the Indoor Rides know her as “the chick by the water cooler,” regulars on the Tuesday Night Rides know her as “that fast woman on the Cannondale.” We just call her “KP.” She’s a charter member of the Velo-Valeo-Vixens-Triple-Threat-Tri-Team (Gold Medalist in the Longest Team Name Olympics), and won the Grand Haven Triathlon last summer. Married to Ryan for about a year now, she says that cycling has “connected her to some of the coolest people in Holland.” She’s talking about folks like you, by the way.
