Shop Events > Ted’s Tool School
Ted is doing his semi-famous “Tool School” again in February! The first 10 to sign up (and pay) are in. Contact him at ted@velo-citycycles.com to get in on the fun.
The workbench is the heart and soul of any bike shop, the “engine room” if you will. When you get right down to it, you can judge a shop’s overall caliber by the quality of their service work. In other words, “it don’t mean a thing if they can’t spin a wrench!”
That’s why Ted is here. His job as our Service Manager is to make sure that every bike that finds itself in a VCC work stand gets the care and attention that it and its rider deserves. He’s been a bicycle mechanic for the better part of his life and for 2007 was chosen by Pro Mountain Racer Danielle Musto as her personal wrench as she attempts to improve on her #2 ranking in endurance off road events.
As a pro-level shop we offer everything from custom wheel building to fixing a flat. Have some new and exotic components that need to be installed? Bring ‘em in. Got a old racing bike from the 70’s with Campy bits? We’ll be honored to overhaul it for you. Just thinkin’ that “Old Reliable” needs a touch of TLC? We can do that too. Whatever you and your bike need, Ted and his crew are ready to get their hands dirty so you don’t have to.
